About the Hall

Day to Day Management

Thurcroft Parish Council employs one caretaker and one part-time cleaner that manage the day-to-day activities of Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall. General management of the grass outside the hall is outsourced to a tendered contractor.

Facilities 

Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall has facilities for large parties and stage shows in the main hall with access to dressing rooms leading off the main stage. There are additional facilities with a fully licensed bar in the lounge area, and kitchen facilities both located in rooms connected to the main hall. There are also facilities to hire the smaller rooms at a reduced hire rate and meeting room facilities located in the Council Chamber.

History of the Hall

The Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall opened in 1983 and was named after local County and Parish Councillor, Gordon Bennett, who had died the previous year.

An extension, including a bar, lounge and Council Chamber for The Parish Council was added in 1987.
